The Big, Giant Garage Sale is coming!
Our youth are teaming up with other churches across the community to make this an epic garage sale fundraiser on May 2nd at College Heights Baptist Church!
As you do your spring cleaning, we would love your help. If you have items in good condition that you no longer need, consider donating them to support our students. The youth have a sea can parked at the church and are happy to collect donations anytime leading up to the sale.
We can accept almost anything except large appliances.
Every dollar raised will help send students to May Camp in Kelowna, a life-changing youth conference where teens grow in faith, build friendships, and encounter Jesus in powerful ways.
Thank you for helping make this a huge community effort and investing in the next generation!
REAPS Clean Up
CHBC will be participating in the annual citywide spring cleanup, sponsored by the City of Prince George and R.E.A.P.S. (Recycling and Environmental Action Planning Society of Prince George).
Please plan to help out after our services on 26 April. We’ll meet downstairs for some pizza before heading out. We will provide trash bags and gloves. Please dress for the weather as the clean-up happens rain or shine.
You can decide how long you want to pick up litter – every little bit helps! We will have designated routes, but you can also go and do some outside cleanup anywhere else in the city that works for you.
If you have the opportunity, please sign up at the table in the foyer. That is just so we have an approximate estimate of numbers for pizza – you can have pizza and clean the city whether you sign up or not.
Prayers for family & missionaries
Camp Falcon Rock, Romania – Paul & Tanya Gericke:· Paul & Tanya sent an update email. Here is an excerpt: “We are beginning to feel more settled in our home and in our new roles here in Canada. Tanya is the Director of Undergraduate Formation and a professor at Kairos University, and I have the privilege of working with Hope Missions International ministry ‘Mission to Children’ for this next year providing leadership and guidance as they look to expand their reach world-wide. We’re especially thankful that these new roles still allow us to stay connected to the ministry in Romania during this season of transition—and is even giving us the opportunity to return this summer to be part of camp again. We want to share two important things: First and foremost—thank you. What was once a farmer’s field with old, dilapidated buildings has become a thriving, year-round ministry. Today, children, youth, and adults are hearing the gospel and experiencing life transformation through Jesus. We truly mean this: we did this together. What we set out to do is happening. Each building that was built and every year of program expansion was truly a work of God. God used your commitment, support, and generosity to see Camp Falcon Rock positioned to become exactly what it was intended to be—a place where lives are reached and transformed by the gospel. Since the start of the year, the CFR team has already hosted multiple winter camps for youth and young adults, along with church events and even their first-ever men’s conference. Now, they are preparing for a summer that will see close to 1,000 children on site at camp. Second, the ministry continues through a new generation of gifted leaders. We are so encouraged by them. We really feel like the best days are ahead for Camp Falcon Rock. Please take a moment to watch the video and celebrate all that God has done over these past 11 years.
