Alpha

Beginning on Thursday, January 15th from 6:00pm-7:30pm, CHBC will be partnering with Cedars Christian School (and several other churches in PG) to run an Alpha Course. It’s taking place at Cedars Christian School. This is a great way to explore the Christian faith. For nine weeks, participants will share a meal and join for a conversation about life, faith and Jesus. If you are curious about Christianity, new to the Christian faith or interested in a refresher on the basics, this course is for you!   Please register using the link on our website so we know how many people to set up for! Also, we are looking for people to provide soup, buns or desserts for each week and you can sign up for that using this meal-train link. Please pray with us for God to change lives through this ministry. Thank you!

Lost and Found

You can find any items you make have lost or misplaced on a table in the foyer for the next couple of weeks. Please collect your items, and anything remaining after February 1 will be donated. Thanks!

Prayers for family & missionaries

Our church family began supporting new missionaries this year! Bruce and Raewyn Wiebe serve with Wycliffe Bible Translators Canada. They hope to travel to Prince George and meet you in the near future. Please read the attached introduction to learn more about the Wiebes and their ministry.

Jeff & Sonya Kilmartin, Cameroon, NAB - Happy 2026 to you all! Our Christmas celebration went well, complete with a worship service and a meal for the neighbours, plus small gifts for the children, afterwards. On New Year’s Eve Sonya hosted a party for the young people from our small fellowship, and they rang in 2026 with games, singing, snacks, and prayer. The conferences over in Nigeria went well. They are now into that part where a smaller team will take the essential teachings of the conferences to all the diaspora communities. For anyone interested, Jeff’s latest book about the Nicene Creed, ”African Shepherd, Athanasius and the Fight for the Faith” has now been published by the ACTS Seminary and is available on Amazon.
