Missionaries Coming to CHBC!

Bruce & Raewyn Wiebe are missionaries working with Wycliffe Bible translators that College Heights Baptist Church supports. They will be in Prince George from April 10th to the 12th. Darren & Esther Child are hosting a Dessert Night at their home, 6806 Westmount Drive, on April 11 Saturday night at 7 pm. It will be a fun fundraiser for them to help them raise support. Advokate: Hope for Women, Prince George: Advokate’s newsletter is posted on the foyer board, and you can view it online at A Strong Start to 2026 – Thank You for Being Part of It. An excerpt: “During the Christmas season, our donors went above and beyond to bless families through generous hampers filled with food, gifts, and grocery cards. For one client, this support lifted a significant burden. With finances stretched thin, she wasn’t sure how her family would celebrate Christmas—but through the kindness of others, that stress was replaced with relief and gratitude. Small acts of encouragement continue to make a difference. In February, we shared simple Valentine’s treat bags with our clients—reminders that they are seen and valued. A client recently reflected on the support she received through her Beyond the Bump mentor, describing it as a steady source of help during a particularly difficult season of life.

As we look ahead, we ask for your prayers—that God would provide the right individual to join our team as a Client Services Assistant, and that we would continue to faithfully serve each person who walks through our doors. Please join us for an opportunity to meet the new Advokate Executive Director, Mike Schouten, on Wednesday, April 8 from 7 to 9pm at the Messiah Canadian Reformed Church at 4110 - 15th Avenue. This will be a relaxed evening and a chance to meet Mike. Feel free to swing by anytime between 7 and 9.

INTERVARSITY CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP, Prince George is raising money to help send students from UNBC to our annual Spring Scripture Camp at the end of April. Our hope as a Campus Ministry is to bring between 10-20 students to Spring Camp and to provide financial aid for every student that wishes to attend. The Auction will take place April 11, at 6:30 pm at Fort George Baptist Church:

· Testimonies from past and present students about the impact of Scripture Camp and InterVarsity

· Hear from one of our Provincial Campus Directors about the ministry

· Live Cash/Cheque Auction of various baked goods
